Recently, when I was returning from school by bus, a boy about 12 was standing next to me, listening to music. Even though he had headphones, the music could be heard within a few meters. I asked him to turn the music down, but despite the fact that he did, it was still loud and disturbed people which were reading books or just were tired.
I don't understand the way some people think. When I put my headphones on, I always check that they are not set so loud that it will disturb other people. This boy's behavior is becoming more common, especially in the younger generation, but it is only one part of how people in public do not pay attention to whether their behavior disturbs others. I think that if we would thought about our behavior more often and made sure that it is not annoying, the world would be a better place.
Disturbing other people is one thing but imagine what this boy was doing to his hearing. He's going to be deaf when he grows up. Apparently, due to the extensive use of earphones, the younger generations hearing is already noticeably worse than it should be. A lot of young people suffer from loss of hearing.
