Last week I was in a restaurant. Few boys, about my age, were sitting next to me while the rest of the room was filled with much younger children who were making noise and fuss. Despite the fact that the boys reported this to the children's teacher, these children did not want to calm down and even behaved worse by throwing chestnuts at one of them.
This situation made me think about the mental condition of the youngest generation. In today's world, both parents work long and children are raised largely by Internet. As a result, they are deprived of appropriate role models, they lack humility and they are unable to properly behave in real world. Perhaps young children have always been rude, but nowadays it is gaining momentum and I believe that with this and other more medical arguments, parents should control their children's internet use and spend more time with them.
Don't get me started on the state of today's parenthood. Parents, apart from what you've written about, are permissive, overprotective and don't teach their kids to respect other people's peace, privacy and space. And as a result they are raising a generation of spoiled, lazy and oversensitive young people. Well. life will give them a lesson one day, hopefully!
