Recently I read an article "Switzerland announces five new referendum questions" on The Local CH.
The article briefly described five referendum questions that will be answered by the Swiss on June 13.
In my opinion, the initiatives and bills that the Swiss will vote are interesting and important. However, their topics are very wide, perhaps too wide (from terrorism to reducing CO2 emissions).
I'm especially interested in result of vote to end the government's covid emergency powers. Swiss society has proven more than once that it can surprise you in direct political decisions. It is also impressive that both citizens initiatives concern ecology in agriculture (clean water and no pesticide use). This only increases my admiration for the Swiss, not only that they have democracy on a level probably unreachable for Poland, but also use its tools mainly to care for the environment, which is extremely lacking in Poland.

This kind of government requires a few things that Poles lack: citizens must be interested and engaged in all aspects of politics, local and central, the level of trust among people should be high and they must have deep respect for the law, the democratic process and the procedures that have been approved.
