Recently I read an article by Diego Sanchez-Ancochea "Latin America: inequality and political instability have lessons for the rest of the world".
In the article, the author presents his views on social inequalities in the context of current world situation.
I agree with the author that wealth and social inequalities can have bad consequences. They lead to social conflicts and the election of populist politicians. The current pandemic crisis is increasing these inequalities, but I am not sure if state interference is the solution. What countries should do is not to favor the rich through tax rates or the law, such as in Poland, where in practice income taxes are regressive. It is a pity that the author does not present his suggestions in the article because I would like to consider them. It seems that the end of the pandemic, paradoxically, will be the beginning of bigger problems for the world.

I certainly agree with your conclusion: the end of the pandemic will show how many people have lost their jobs or businesses permanently, how many kids have practically dropped out of school and how many people have become incurably ill due to poor access to doctors in the last year.
