In today's post I would like to describe the president's inauguration day.
The president's inauguration under the twentieth amendment to the constitution takes place at noon on January 20. Until 1937, it was held on March 4 because earlier more time was needed to count the votes. This amendment also combined the oaths of VP with the presidential, which are led by a chief judge of the Supreme Court. There is also a ball and a parade on the inaugural day. The invocation is read and the blessing given by representatives of different religions. Since 1981, swearing- in are held on the Western Front of the Capitol. The sworn president also gives an address to the nation. The longest was delivered in 1841 by William Henry Harrison (8,445 words), and the shortest by George Washington which said only 135 words when he began his second term.

The judges on the Supreme Court are traditionally called "Justice". So, Justice Roberts will swear Joe Biden in on 20 January 2021.
