Is fake news a serious problem in the modern world? Why? Why not? In my humble opinion, fake news is a serious problem and a potential threat to all people. I do not think so, however, because I am afraid that one day I will believe in some false message and for this reason I will do something unnecessary. Even so, I'm more afraid that under the influence of fake news other people will start to threaten me and my state. As the authorities in Poland are elected by universal elections, so people under the influence of fake news may choose the wrong people or may not properly decide in a vote what has already happened in Europe. The phenomenon of fake news has been known properly since the emergence of mass media, but now the threat is much greater because virtually everyone has access to social media. Is lying morally wrong? I think that lying is in a great majority very immoral. Howewer, I can imagine a situation in which lies are justified, for example, when one of our relatives is in hosital, it is not always necessary to inform him how difficult his situation is because it can make his condition worse. But still, as I wrote earlier, lying is immoral, people should do everything to lie as little as possible and only when it is really needed. Lying is dangerous because we can hurt someone or lose the trust of someone important to us. Whenever we are going to lie, we should ask ourselves in advance whether we would be pleased if someone else lied to us in this situation.
